- All home-based employees retained with enhanced career development opportunities
- Smooth transition ensures continuity of care for all residents
Estia Health is pleased to announce the successful completion of its acquisition of seven residential aged care homes previously operated by Aurrum Aged Care. As of 1 April 2025, Estia Health has officially taken ownership of three homes on the Central Coast of New South Wales (Erina/Terrigal Drive, Norah Head, Wyoming) and four homes in Melbourne (Brunswick, Healesville, Plenty, Reservoir).
Sean Bilton, CEO of Estia Health said, “We are delighted that we are able to increase our commitment of care and services for older people through the management of approximately 800 additional residential aged care places across the seven homes, including entry into the Central Coast of NSW to complement existing homes in the Hunter and Mid North Coast regions.”
The transition process has been completed smoothly, with Estia Health ensuring all residents, families and employees were fully supported throughout the ownership change. All home-based employees from the newly acquired homes were offered employment with Estia Health, where they will benefit from the additional career development and training opportunities available within a larger organisation.
“We want to assure all residents and their families that they will continue to receive the same dedicated care and services from the same people that they always have,” Bilton said. “As a provider of 85 residential aged care homes across Australia, we are proud to offer individualised care and support to our residents and their families at an incredibly important time in their lives.”
This successful integration represents Estia Health’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional aged care services to older Australians.
