Contractors and Associated Provider Workers

 

In the course of your engagement with Estia Health as a contractor, or as an individual engaged through an associated provider to deliver funded aged care services, we will collect personal information about you.

The types of information we collect may include your name, contact details, date of birth, address, role and engagement details, qualifications, licences, right to work status, and sensitive information such as criminal history, police certificates, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, vaccination information and other information relevant to worker screening and compliance checks.

We collect, use and disclose your personal information (which may include sensitive information) for purposes related to:

  • meeting our obligations as a registered provider under the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025, including worker screening and record keeping requirements
  • verifying your identity, qualifications, experience and suitability to deliver funded aged care services
  • maintaining required records in relation to aged care workers, including screening, roles and compliance history
  • clinical governance, quality and safety, incident management and complaints handling
  • managing our contractual and operational arrangements with you or your organisation
  • complying with legal, regulatory and reporting obligations, and for related administrative purposes


In some cases, we are required or authorised by law to collect certain personal information, including under the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Rules and other applicable laws. Without the information we reasonably require, we may not be able to engage you or permit you to deliver services on our behalf.

We collect this information directly from you and, where relevant, from your employer or organisation (including associated providers), referees, screening bodies and government agencies. Information may also be collected through third party systems we use to manage compliance processes (such as the Zipline platform) on our behalf.

We may disclose your personal information for the purposes described above to our related entities, associated providers, and to third party service providers who assist us with compliance, screening, training, IT systems and operational support (including platform providers such as Zipline), as well as to regulators, government agencies and other parties where required or authorised by law. These recipients may be located in Australia and, in some circumstances, overseas.
