Basic daily fee
This is the standard charge for every resident in aged care set by the Australian Government and is calculated at approximately 85 percent of your single person Centrelink pension. This fee covers costs for meals, personal and nursing care, some allied health care, activities, laundry, home cleaning and maintenance.
This fee will be reviewed by the government on 20 March and 20 September each year in line with the pension increase as per the schedule of fees. Everyone living in an aged care home pays this fee unless they are experiencing financial hardship which Centrelink assess and determine.
Higher Everyday Living
Our Enhanced program offers residents access to higher everyday services in addition to the standard care and services we provide as a residential aged care provider.
Services will be dependent on each home’s unique features and available service but could include additional meal choices, special food events and experiences and Foxtel in a resident’s room.
When you visit an Estia Health home the team can explain the Enhanced services available at that location and the associated fees. These services will be provided through a Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) agreement.
